ABOUT MARTHA
Professional Breakaway Roper Martha Angelone was the first WPRA breakaway roper to be
officially recognized on the world champions stage following the 10th round of NFR. Angelone grew
up in Virginia but knew that if she wanted to be a world class competitor, she needed to move and
join the competition at its toughest in Texas. Family is a big part of her experience as a competitor,
and she first learned to rope from her dad Vito, who taught Martha and her sister Sarah the skills
needed to compete in the arena. A hard-worker and fiercely focused competitor, Martha believes
that the work she puts inside the arena coupled with her journey outside of the arena, is what will
continue to make her a champion.
