ABOUT JACOB
Professional Steer Wrestler Jacob Talley didn’t grow up around the rodeo. As a child, he played
organized sports and excelled at football. He didn’t ride horses until he turned twenty, when he
went to steer wrestling school in Louisiana, following in his father’s footsteps, and fell in love with
horseback riding. He started to dedicate time to training and was willing to focus and put more and
more time in to be competitive. In 2016 he made it to the finals for the first time, and in 2021 he
won The American Rodeo. In his own words, “I am blessed to have the support of family and brands
like Durango® by my side.”
